A portable unit designed for in-home dental visits. To make the equipment necessary for the treatment portable, it is designed into two parts. Both parts were designed at the same time to ensure the uniform exterior and the optimized interior design. Aiming for the smallest size to prioritize portability, as well as an easier handling than conventional products during device assembling and application, the unit was designed in such a way that each individual part can be printed out by 3D printing technology. As a medium-volume production, we chose aluminum sheet metal and resin pressure molding instead of injection molding to harmonize reliability and affinity. Based on the same strict standards on which our patented smallest vacuum unit was designed, this device is highly consistent with the brand guidelines and is aspiring to become an icon of dental care in a new era. iF DESIGN AWARD(GERMANY)2020.
