The READY MADE theme of COMPOSITION 06 is a project to create new value by converting already existing products.
In this context, I have long wanted to create a lighting fixture that makes good use of gentle indentations.

I thought it would be possible to create a design that would fill the soft indentations with light and have an emotional quality that would heal people just by looking at it when placed by the bedside or in a corner of the desk. Pus trays are medical devices that everyone has seen on TV or other media, but not many people know that they are sold in public. By utilizing its unique form, we tried to create a lighting fixture with a new iconic quality while appealing to the aforementioned emotional appeal.

*A pus tray is a common medical device, and as the name suggests, it acts as a tray to collect pus. The gentle concave contours of the tray are there to flow with the body if there is bleeding, and the curves of the tray give it a unique design. The material used is mainly stainless steel, but plastic is also used in some cases. Prices vary, but it ranges from 600 to 2,000 yen and can be purchased by the general public.
