WOVE MELT
NEW NORMAL NEW STANDARD
Weaving innovation into Banshu-ori.
Material research and utilization of fabrics that were being developed by Naoya Takahashi from Daika Sangyo, a Banshu-ori textile trading company in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture. We gave support in product planning, branding (naming, logo design, etc.), and prototyping of the final product.
“WOVE MELT,” an innovative fabric woven with cotton and PLA (polylactic acid), was developed to create a new and better change in Banshu-ori textiles.
It can be cut with a laser processing machine and manufactured into cases and pouches without sewing. In addition, since it is a mixture of cotton and PLA, it can be decomposed when placed in compost.
Through product design, it will preserve the best qualities of the material to the maximum extent possible, while firmly exploring a new way of being in industry. The logo design uses the initials of WOVE MELT as the weave of the fabric, and the dots represent the gradual melting of the fabric.
